Getting there

From Arlanda Airport, if you do not have pre-arranged transfer, take the airport coach (Flygbussarna) or the airport train (Arlanda Express) to City Terminal/Central Station, where you change to commuter train (SL) or taxi (or metro/subway if your hotel is not adjacent to Stockholmsmässan). You can of course travel by taxi or all the way to your destination of choice. To avoid change-over, there is also the possibility to take the commuter train from the airport, which stops at Älvsjö station, Stockholmsmässan.

From Airport – taxi: Sweden does not regulate taxi fares and levels may vary greatly. You do not have to take the first taxi in the queue and may choose any taxi company you like. Check the yellow price sticker on the taxi for comparison. It shows the highest unit price the cab charges. Normally it should be below SEK 390. Always ask for a taximeter receipt.

For safety and simplification, we recommend using Taxi Stockholm, +46 8 15 00 00. At the organized taxi queue, ask the person in the yellow jacket for Taxi Stockholm. They have a fixed price of about SEK 520-550 (flight terminal/prebooked dependant) for transporting 1-4 persons to the Central Station. We recommend always asking for fixed price for all longer distances. This can be done even when ordering the taxi.  The taxi ride takes about 30-35 minutes depending on traffic and they accept major credit cards. You can pre-book your taxi pick-up here.

From airport – Arlanda Express train: Departs every 15 minutes and takes 20 minutes to Stockholm central station. A one-way ticket costs SEK 260 and a round-trip ticket SEK 490. You can pre-book and check the timetable here.

From airport – bus: The most economic alternative is using the Airport Coaches. Buses leave on a regular basis from every airport terminal and they take about 45 minutes to the City Terminal. Bus tickets will run you SEK 105, one-way.

From airport – commuter train, line 38 (towards Tumba): The most direct route by public transportation (SL) to Stockholmsmässan (and hotel Scandic Talk, if chosen). Departs from Arlanda central station in Sky City (between terminal 4 and 5) two times per hour and takes 53 min. When travelling to or from Arlanda central station there is a passage supplement fee. It can be paid on site, if not already included in your ticket.

From Stockholm central station/city terminal – taxi: There are two taxi stations. The larger one is in front of the Central Station.

From Stockholm central station/city terminal – commuter train, line 38: Entrance from the same level as metro/subway (T-sign). Travel towards Tumba (end station) and exit at Älvsjö station. Follow the signs.
